Painting for me has always been like composing a symphony orchestra; integrating various elements, color tones, texture, connecting diversity of forms and patterns in a unit. Vibrant colors, spontaneous brush strokes and floating forms have always been a visual challenge expressed through technique, material and aesthetic. The aesthetic journey changes gears with various techniques and materials for achieving visual richness, silent and chaotic shapes, appearance and disappearance of forms, and elements move freely in an anonymous space. What begins as exploration becomes experiments then choices, passion, commitment and finally a way of life.
I begin painting with no preconceived shapes or composition; it evolves from simple marks, lines, spontaneous gestures and chaotic forms. I enjoy the process of exploring a visual truth through multiple layers, appearance and disappearance of forms and shapes, rhythmic interplay of color with loaded brush strokes against empty space. Juxtaposition and overlapping of small and larger shapes allows me to enforce energy and expression in my compositions. Collage, stencils, spray, bleeding and blending of color enhances chaotic energy in my composition.
